In correspondence dated 4 November 1992, it was reported in error that Bush received less electoral votes in '92 than did Dukakis in '88. Actually, 168 electoral votes were cast for Bush, and only 111 for Dukakis. Like the publishers of the DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN headlines, I went to bed too early on Tuesday night. The error is regretted. |

Regarding correspondence of 23, 28, and 30 October: There is only one "f" in Safire and there are three in Pfieffer. And the "blonde" who claims that while Clinton may be over six feet tall, the moniker "shorty" still fits, spells her name with a "G" and not a "J". |

| AND THE WINNER IS ... |

I watched Ronnie Lamarque being interviewed on T.V. about the casino thing. He looked real upset. He said something about the city being "sole down da street." He also said he might help his black friends by running for mayor of New Orleans. But I think Ronnie lives in Kenner. Anyhow, I think he needs cheering, so I thought I'd send him this: |
