The process of scanning and formatting these family photographs has been, for me, a learning experience and a labor of love. Hundreds of hours were spent browsing through the images in spotting and repairing the photographs, and in checking code and links; in that effort a sense of time and of aging and especially of the ageless quality of family has taken hold of me.
I hope that my family, which I so dearly love, and future generations of L'Hostes yet unborn will enjoy this work as much as I have in preparing it.
